Yeast Free Diets – What You Need to Know

Unlike diets that are designed to help you lose weight, yeast free diets are designed to help you eat foods that don’t aggravate Candida nor cause any further discomfort due to yeast infections.

It is important to note that your body normally has yeast and bacteria that lives in it. In some instances we cannot function without them.

Bacteria growth can at times go out of control and begin to cause discomfort and illness if we create an environment that they thrive on, one that nature never designed us for. Frequently, this happens when we eat foods that are bad for us, or we consume far too much. Some people with certain diseases also have the some of these problems.

Yeast free diets normally see a considerable reduction or even abstaining from any food that has a high yeast level. This would be items like breads, pastas and cakes. Other foods that should be eliminated include smoked and dried meats, certain nuts (e.g. peanuts), packaged herbs, mushrooms, and cheese.

Other foods that are high in yeast include pickled foods, mustards, mayo, BBQ sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, wine, spirits and beer. Processed foods are considered to be among the most dangerous.

The biggest culprits are white flour and processed sugar. Any foods with high amounts of processed sugar are very hazardous to someone that is suffering yeast overgrowth.

Raw sugar is the best ingredient to use if you have a sweet tooth. Stay away from all soft drinks and high fructose corn syrup in addition to very sweet fruits.

  • itching sensation in your intimate areas and vaginal discharge
  • swollen joints and arthritis
  • severe acne and rashes
  • headaches or migraines and fatigue

Be aware that whenever you change your diet, even if it is for the better, your body takes a while to adjust. Give yourself at least 4 to 6 weeks before expecting to see any results.

Don’t simply try a yeast free diet for a few weeks and decide it isn’t working since there are no immediate changes. Having the wrong expectations will make it harder for you to stay on track long enough to realize the desired result.

When you start your yeast free diet, your body will start to flush a considerable amount of Candida out of your body. As this happens your body will repair the damage that had been done, and prepare you to fight off future infestations. As the Candida is expelled from your body it will go through your intestines and urinary system.

Be aware that this may cause some discomfiture. Don’t worry, this is what normally happens. It may manifest itself in the form of rash or fatigue but it will be only temporary and will soon fade.

Around a month from the time you start you will feel and look better. As your health is restored you will feel an increase in energy and feel like a totally new person! People you know will sense it too.

How long should you be on the yeast free diet? You will be relieved to know that this isn’t a lifetime change. But don’t start going back to your old ways. This can cause Candida again, and your body will begin to show the same symptoms as before.

After you complete your yeast free diet in six weeks, you will start to feel better and healthier as well. Start adding small amounts of foods you couldn’t have before, and only one type at a time. This will allow you to see which ones have the biggest impact on you, and you can take steps to avoid eating them.

This will also help you to see all that you can eat, in comparison to the ones you can’t. You will soon have a diet that keeps you healthy and feeling amazing all year long.
